Pastor Brent Alan Brown

Pastor Brent Alan Brown was born in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Education
He attended local schools and graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in 1982. In 2002, he received an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Florida Metropolitan University (now Everest University) in Clearwater.

Career
In December 1983, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served for nine years active duty, including two tours in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Notably during his military career, he rose through the ranks and served as a unit leader with 1st Bn 8th Mar. 2nd Mar. Div., served as an instructor at the Infantry Training School at Camp Geiger, N.C., and was a part of the honor guard at the Naval Station and Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.

While in the Marine Corps, Pastor Brown was awarded a Sharpshooter Pistol badge and was awarded three times and Expert Rifle Badge. Other military honors include Sea Service Medal with three stars, Meritorious Unit Citation, Saudi Arabia Campaign Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Good Conduct Medal with three stars, Humanitarian Medal, and Combat Action ribbon.

After an honorable discharge from the U.S.M.C. in March 1993, he began his career in the juvenile justice system as a shelter coordinator and later became a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, where he currently is employed and has worked in other departments.

In 2006, Pastor Brown re-enlisted in the U.S.M.C. as a reservist and was promoted in 2010 to the rank of staff sergeant. He served as the platoon sergeant for the 6th Motors Battalion, Maintenance and Headquarters platoon. In November 2013, Pastor Brown was honorably discharged.

Church Service

Pastor Brown is the pastor of Rebirth Empowerment Ministries, Inc., in St. Petersburg, Fl, which he founded in September 2024. Prior to that, he was an associate pastor at Bethel Community Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he had been a lifelong member and ordained in 2002.

Masonic Service

Pastor Brown currently serves as District Deputy Grand Master of District 26, of The Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge Most Ancient and Honorable Fraternity, Free and Accepted Masons, State of Florida and Belize, Central America, Jurisdiction Incorporated Prince Hall Affiliated. He previously served on the Ministerial Committee of the Florida Council of Deliberations. Pastor Brown is currently a member of: Sunshine City Consistory #147; United Supreme Council 33°; Jerusalem Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Sisters of Love #129; and Harram Temple #23, Incorporated, of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine, Prince Hall Shriners of North and South America.

Family

He is married to the former Jounice L. Nealy, of West Palm Beach, and they have two children, Brent II, currently a Senior at United States Military Academy at West Point and Laci, a sophomore at Howard University. He also is the father of Kendall, Liz, Arnez, Brittany and Lorenzo.
